Hard Rock Rocksino Increases Support of U.S. Military Veterans, Reservists, and their Spouses

Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park announced a comprehensive military program designed to increase employment opportunities for veterans who served in the United States military, members of the National Guard and Reserve, and military spouses, while at the same time, provide unique amenities, experiences and services to all service men and women. Red, white, and blue colors will illuminate the Rocksino building’s interior and exterior through the end of February.

The Rocksino expects to increase the number of its military related hires via quarterly military job hiring fairs, diverse partnerships, community outreach, and speaking engagements with a wide variety of military employment assistance groups, including Employer Support of the Guard & Reserve; Skill Bridge, a multi-service military assistance program; the Regional Inter-Service Family Assistance organization which supports troops and military families; Ohio Means Jobs; the Transition Assistance Program at Wright Patterson Air Force Base; The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the US (VFW) and more.

“We’re proud to support our brave men and women who serve, and have served, our country,” says Mark Birtha, president, Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park. “Since our property’s opening in December 2013, our recruitment and community outreach strategy has consistently strived to hire, promote, and support military personnel in our workforce and our local community. The difference now is we’re bringing everything together as one robust vision and amplifying our services in every way.

“Clearly, the values, unique leadership skills, passion and execution that our talented service men and women consistently bring to our workforce collectively contributes to our success. To honor them, we recently executed quarterly recognition celebrations and monthly features in our internal newsletter,” adds Birtha.

According to Birtha, the Rocksino held its first military job hiring fair last year. A representative from the National Guard Employment Support Program observed the job fair and provided feedback which the Rocksino will implement at its next hiring fair in March. Birtha also says the Rocksino donated more than $50,000 to support military personnel over the past four years, including 2,443 free meals on Veterans Day (equating to an in-kind donation of $34,000), as well as donating 500 turkeys and pies to shelters for homeless veterans and the VFW, contributing more than $15,000 to nonprofit military organizations, and more.

Exclusive amenities, experiences, and benefits for all military personnel include a new recognition card, “Rock Star Salute,” offering exclusive, on-going discounts on dining and entertainment experiences, and retail merchandise. Currently, “Rock Star Salute” members receive a 15% discount at Hard Rock Café, Concerto Italian Kitchen and the Rock Shop, as well as a 50% discount for Club Velvet shows. Additionally, a portion of the proceeds from a newly-designed, one-of-a-kind veteran’s collectible pin will be donated to a military support organization later this year on Veterans Day.
