On February 2, 2017, the Rocksino partnered with WTAM 1100 and The Mike Trivisonno Show to host the Coats for Kids Cleveland Marathon. The 12-hour telethon raised over $100,000 to support Coats For Kids, which will provide over 700 coats for children in Northeast Ohio this time of year!
Triv and his team took over the Hard Rock Cafe stage and hosted Bernie Kosar, Josh Cribbs, and a number of other celebs, including political figures…and even Frank Caliendo. They sold their charity raffle tickets both on air and here at the Rocksino, and sold them out faster than any other year in their history! The Rocksino also gave away prizes throughout the day, including a trip to Las Vegas, plus proceeds from the sales in Hard Rock Cafe that day were donated to their cause as well.
The drawing for the cash raffle prizes was held live on The Mike Trivisonno Show on February 15, 2017. Rocksino President, Mark Birtha, stopped by the show for the raffle drawing and to present Coats For Kids with a check for $5,000, which was the proceeds from Hard Rock Cafe the day of the marathon.
About Coats For Kids
Coats For Kids was founded in 1981 when local radio station employees noticed a large number of children were missing school during the winter because they didn’t have winter coats. Coats For Kids Cleveland was founded when the radio station started requesting donations for new or like-new winter coats. Since then, the organization has raised millions of dollars and given away hundreds of thousands of new and like-new coats to children and adults in need in Northeast Ohio.
